Methi ka Halwa Recipe in 5 Steps

This Methi Halwa recipe (Fenugreek Halwa) is an easy to make and quick dish for new moms. It helps recover mothers post-delivery and produce milk throughout their breast-feeding period. There will be many times when you feel that your baby is not getting enough milk. This could be 3 months post-delivery, 4 months or even 7 months. And this recipe of Methi ka Halwa will be your best friend during those days. This dish can be stored for upto 2 days to be consumed. So the best part is that you don’t have to make it daily, alternate day would be fine. Here goes the recipe:

Ingredients of Methi Halwa

1 cup brown rice
1 cup methi seeds (Fenugreek)
1 cup jaggery (Good – Hindi)
1-2 tea spoons ghee (optional)
2 tea spoons grated coconut (optional)

Recipe of Methi Halwa in just 5 easy steps

STEP 1:

STEP 2:

Roast brown rice on medium flame. Roast till it pops (like popcorn).

Grind roasted brown rice finely.

STEP 4:

Grind soaked methi seeds.

STEP 5:

Mix powdered brown rice and ground methi seeds. To this mixture add grated jaggery. You can add grated coconut if you wish to. Also to make it tastier you can add ghee.
